Mehnaz Mehmood
Counsellor & Psychotherapist

I understand that life can bring challenges that feel overwhelming, isolating, and difficult to navigate. My own journey has included experiences of loss, personal adversity, and significant health challenges. Through these experiences, I gained a deeper understanding of resilience, healing, and the importance of emotional wellbeing. Drawing on both my professional training and personal insights, I provide a compassionate, supportive, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences, develop self-awareness, and work towards meaningful change. I believe that every individual has the capacity for growth and healing, and I am committed to helping clients discover their strengths, build resilience, and reconnect with a sense of balance and purpose. My approach focuses on supporting you to live more fully in the present moment, overcome obstacles, and create lasting positive change in your life. Together, we can work towards greater wellbeing, self-understanding, and emotional health.

My Approach

Being trauma-informed, means I place great emphasis and time on creating safety, trust and choice within our sessions. I understand how trauma can shape our emotions, relationships, and sense of self, I work gently to support and patiently healing and self-understanding without re-traumatisation.

As a meditation teacher, I often integrate mindfulness, grounding techniques to help you reconnect with your body and inner resources in a holistic manner. These tools can help you feel more present, regulate emotions, and build resilience, both within and beyond the therapy room.

I offer both in-person and online sessions, and we can explore together what approach feels most supportive for you.
